ABOUT

ABOUT US

Here at Lakes Bikes we don't just move products. We make it a point of spending time with each of our customers to determine their unique needs.. regardless of whether it be a simple tyre puncture repair kit or a complete bike.

We pride ourselves on giving our customers a range of options based on their budget, personal preference and needs. Most importantly, we are completely honest in everything we do because here at Lakes Bikes, It's not about the sale!.

THE TEAM

Owners Gloria and Dave Stewart founded the Rockingham Triathlon Club (RTC) in 1992 and have maintained their involvement and passion to present day. They have each raced Sprint, Olympic and Ironman races with Gloria getting a taste of full IM in the last few years. Dave founding Pres. & 1st RTC Life Member started cycling with the Kwinana Cycling Club in 1968 as a nipper and still loves his bike.

Bill Mentor
With over 12 bikes at last count. Bill took up cycling in the 70's. His passion must be waining as Bill finally bought a car in May 08. Bill is our expert mechanic and our token Kiwi.

Lynda de Laeter
A newby Triathlete having joined RTC in the late 90's. Linda has "bike passion" in spades

Dorte Neilsen
Our resident number cruncher. Dorte has a passion for cycle racing and ferries her son to road races, track racing and training all over the state, rain, hail or shine. Transperth wants to sign up Dorte as a High Performance driver.

Adam Semple
Cutting his teeth in Road Racing under the tutelage of Wayne Lally the founder of Lakes Bikes, Adam is now an integral part of the Aust Institute of Sport (AIS) U23 Road Team after being picked up in 2007 and is away overseas or intra-state racing with the big boys most of the year. Adam works in the shop when he is back in town, 'cause we took pity on him and he couldn't get a job at Maccas To check on Adam, click here

Theo Yates
(Son of Dorte), Theo is in the State Junior Road & Track squad after starting out in Triathlons in RTC's Junior TriStars Program. Theo is on a mission and is focussed on his racing. Theo rarely reads race maps.
